Let's dive into one of our recent partnerships, where SiSTEM worked with supporting Sharpstown HS, Houston ISD:

Sharpstown High School serves 1700 students in grades 9-12.  84% of the student population is identified as at-risk, 83% as economically disadvantaged, and 56% as limited English proficient. In February 2023, Sharpstown asked for Sistem’s help with 86 students in Algebra 1.  One tutor was recruited and trained to accept the challenge.  Of the students who sat for the test, 60% moved from “Does not Meet Standard” to “Approaches'' or “Meets Standard” in just three months, 4 sessions per week, 40 minutes per session.  SiSTEM’s ability to source and support the right tutor for the students ensured measurable academic growth in the course.
